About

About miles.Beyond

miles.Beyond is a community of like-minded individuals aspiring to improve their mental, emotional, and bodily wellness through social and physical movement. Stronger together, we collaborate to share our strengths and overcome struggles, striding toward challenging, yet attainable goals while encouraging each other along the way.

The miles.Beyond community hosts races, offers training plans and tips, and builds you up when you’re down. We’re also runners and walkers of all abilities. We’re coaches, superfans, moms and dads, and kids learning about the joy of accomplishment and healthy living. We understand the runner’s high and the runner’s low. We’ve powered through blisters, chafing, side aches, leg cramps, and plantar fasciitis. We challenge, we inspire, we accept support, and we give back.

Our History

Leading miles.Beyond is Mandy Mullen, a certified UESCA run coach and owner of the run.Windsor Race Series and run.Colorado Relays. She is passionate about hosting quality events that support the local and regional running community, businesses and nonprofits, and she guides miles.Beyond accordingly.

What began in 2017 as a women’s running group has evolved to an organization that hosts local endurance events ranging in distance from 5K to 50K with 500-800 participants each, as well as two cross-state overnight relay races. The miles.Beyond mission is to support community wellness, encourage local economic development, and give to local nonprofits that support the community.

About Mandy

Mandy Mullen is a Colorado native and graduate of Colorado State University. She was inspired to become a better runner and positive member of the running community following her experience at the Boston Marathon in 2013. Her husband ran and thankfully crossed the finish line before the traumatic events of that day unfolded. Mandy set her own goals on Boston, and today she runs ultra-marathons, earning two Leadville 100 and one Cruel Jewel 100 belt buckles.

As an entrepreneur, Mandy owned and operated a group fitness studio until race directing took over her time. She also co-founded Windsor Gives, a nonprofit organization that gives back to the community through endurance events while providing access to the benefits of running. She is highly involved in the Windsor, Colorado community where she lives with her family, and she is proud to serve on the board of North Range Behavioral Health.
